THE BRIEF:

Hall & Partners launched its own weekly pulse survey to assist brands and researchers with agile, strategic decision-making in response to COVID-19. The study required a specialist partner to localise pro bono across 10 markets, covering consumer sentiment and behaviour.

Hall & Partners launched its own weekly pulse survey to assist brands and researchers with agile, strategic decision-making in response to COVID-19. The study required a specialist partner to localise pro bono across 10 markets, covering consumer sentiment and behaviour.

THE DEPTH OF INSIGHT:

Following a study design call with global offices, initial closed-ended question methodology for speed and ease became more complex when EMPOWER suggested including OE questions for greater depth of human insight into key sentiments and behaviours.

THE CHALLENGES:

EMPOWER needed to decide which OE responses were key comments for human-quality translation, in order to build rapidly a clear story for the research team alongside the coded data. Rapid turnaround times were to be met on a weekly basis, while ensuring consistency of analysis.

THE SOLUTION:

EMPOWER communicated a thorough brief for OE responses to in-country teams of specialist linguists, establishing weekend schedules to meet deadlines. A blend of human and automated coding ensured consistency of data analysis, and code frequency data was provided both globally and per-market.
